Product Overview:
High Voltage Laser Diode Driver Overview
This high voltage CW and QCW mode laser diode driver is designed to drive high power laser stacks, arrays and multi-chip pumps. These current sources have been optimized for use in R&D laboratory applications as well as industrial applications. These drivers offer multiple safety and protection features. They have a user-set current limit, duty cycle limit and safety interlocks to help protect the laser diode and the user. The benchtop and rack-mounted capable controller chassis includes an RS232 interface. There is also free software to enable quick set-up and operation in a remote control environment. The front panel provides easy control of the driver with a large LCD display, adjustment knob and buttons for laser current start and stop. They key lock on the front panel allows the user to completely disable the unit as needed.
Driver Functionality
Multiple OEM versions of this driver can be used to build the Multichannel Electrical Power Supply System (MEPSS). The MEPSS can power up to 20 laser diodes and is designed for applications such as inertial confinement fusion, laser-matter interactions and laser diode array burn-in and testing. This unit can also be factory-equipped with a high power temperature controller for laser temperature stabilization; inquire for details and options. Additionally, the flexible internal architecture allows for factory customization to suit customer requirements for a specific load.
