Product Overview:

75 Amp OEM CW Laser Diode Driver Overview

The LDD-1137 is an OEM high performance current driver designed to precision-drive laser diodes or other loads in CW or modulation operations up to 1 ms. Featuring a fully digital PID-controlled current source with high resolution control (1.5 mA) and high power efficiency (>96% at >=50% Load). Designed with a digital PID-controlled current source, internal signal generator, and Look-Up Table (LUT), it delivers comprehensive system monitoring, a 1.5 mA output resolution, and low ripple (~0.2%). Equipped with optional light measurement circuitry, the LDD-1137 can also be operated as a Laser Power Controller (LPC).

Low Noise Output and Industry Leading Laser Diode Protection

The device functions via a digital PID-controlled current source engineered to precision-drive laser diodes or other loads in CW or modulation operations. It can be equipped with an optional laser power measurement circuit / photo-diode input. The LDD-1137 also monitors laser diode temperature (NTC thermistor input). The LDD-1137 is fully digitally controlled; its firmware is upgradeable to offer various communication options and to meet specific customer requirements.

USB and RS485 Interfaces with Control Software

The included Configuration Software enables full monitoring, diagnostics, and configuration of the LDD-1137 via standard USB, RS485, or Ethernet connections from a Windows PC. All device settings are saved in non-volatile memory and can be backed up and restored. For remote and OEM system integration, the LDD-1137 features a 14-pin Platform Bus Connector (PBC X7) providing dual RS485 communication channels and 8 GPIO lines for monitoring and control. The LDD-1137 is part of the LDD family of Meerstetter laser diode drivers, which are designed to operate alongside devices of the TEC family of Peltier controllers.
