Product Overview:

High Power TEC Controller

The TEC-1090-HV is a RoHS compliant, specialized TEC controller / power supply capable of precision-driving a single Peltier element. It features a true bipolar DC current source for cooling / heating, two temperature monitoring inputs (1x main, 1x auxiliary) and intelligent PID control with auto tuning. The TEC-1090-HV is a precision TEC controller that is primarily designed to operate as a stand-alone device. Further functionality includes smooth temperature ramping, thermal stability indication and auto gain (when using the standard NTC sensors). The PC-Software allows data logging and configuration import/export.

Auxiliary Temperature Sensor for Added Device Safety

The TEC-1090-HV is delivered configured for NTC (thermistor) temperature sensors. The controller is also configured with an auxiliary temperature input that allow the connection of NTC probe located on the heat sink of the Peltier element; the auxiliary sensor can be used to ensure the thermal safety of the electronics system by preventing thermal runaway. The analog measurement circuit is factory calibrated.

Digital Control Interface for Custom OEM Applications

The TEC-1090-HV is fully digitally controlled, it’s hard- and firmware offers numerous communication and safety options. It has an included PC-Software that allows configuration, control, monitoring and live diagnosis of the TEC controller via USB and RS485. All parameters are saved to nonvolatile memory. Saving can also be disabled for bus operation.

DPY-1113 Display Kit for Rapid Prototyping

The DPY-1113 TEC Status Display Kit is available to help speed prototyping efforts. The DPY is configurable via the TEC Service Software, and allows the display fields to be customized.

Temperature Sensor Options for Application Versatility
