Product Overview:

180 Watt High Power TEC Controller

The TEC-20 is a precision high power 180W TEC controller optimized for fast, accurate temperature stabilization of high power laser diodes and Peltier controlled thermal loads. The controller drives up to +/- 10 amps and +/- 18 volts of bipolar output power to the Peltier element being used to cool your laser diode or heat load. The full PID TEC control loop provides millidegree temperature stability, and can quickly cool and stabilize high heat loads. User adjustable upper and lower temperature limits protect the laser diode. Current and voltage limits protect the TE cooler / Peltier device from being over-driven.

Multiple Temperature Sensor Inputs

These TEC controllers are equipped with two universal temperature sensor inputs, suitable for use with 10 kOhm NTC thermistors as well as 4-wire RTD sensors. An input is available for use with a PT100 RTD temperature sensor. These additional sensor inputs can be used to control an auxiliary device, such as a heat-sink fan, or an external electro-optical device in laboratory or manufacturing testing applications. There is also an auxiliary power output control 24 VDC and 500 mA to control an external fan.

Front Panel and Remote User Interface
Controller setup is intuitive and fast using the front panel LCD display with alphanumeric interface. These TEC controllers come with an RS232 interface and a USB adapter. The included LabView driver GUI makes set-up and control of the system fast and simple.

TEC Controller Accessories

Useful accessories are available to simplify setup and operation of the controller. Two connecting cables are available, both with a 15-pin D-sub connector to connect to the back panel. The unterminated cable has bare wires ready for a custom application; the other cable is terminated with a 15-pin D-sub connector to interface with a compatible TEC controlled mount.
