Product Overview:

LDM-BUTTERFLY: Butterfly Packaged Laser Diode Mount

This laser diode mount and heatsink is designed to safely mount 14-pin butterfly packaged laser diodes. It features an Azimuth zero insertion force (ZIF) socket and plastic clamp-down arms. The plastic clamping arms secure the butterfly package pins to the electrical contact plane. The LDM-BUTTERFLY has a straight-through 14 pin connector to make connection to your laser diode driver and TEC controller simple and straight-forward.

Configurable for Any Laser Diode Package Type

The LDM-BUTTERFLY has a 14-pin connector which allows the user to route any signal to any pin. The 14-pin on-board connector is a standard model 61301421821 dual socket header manufactured by Wurth Elektronik. Male connectors are available on Mouser, Digikey etc.

Integrated Heat Sink

This mounting solution is rated for current levels up to 3 amps. It offers and integrated anodized aluminum heat sink for mounting your laser diode. It includes the 4 mounting screws for universal butterfly packages. For high heat load devices, the heat sink can be bolted to an optical table or metal surface if needed.
