Product Overview:

Ultra-Compact 220W TEC Controller Module Overview

The TEC-1089-SV is a specialized TEC controller capable of providing precision drive and control of a single Peltier element or resistive heater. It is fully digitally controlled, its hardware and firmware offer numerous communication and safety options. It is a true bipolar DC current source for cooling / heating, with two temperature monitoring inputs (1x main, 1x auxiliary) and intelligent PID control with auto tuning.

Auxiliary Temperature Sensors for Added Safety

The TEC-1089-SV is delivered configured for NTC (thermistor) temperature sensors. The controller is also configured with auxiliary temperature inputs that allow the connection of NTC probes located on the heat sinks of the Peltier elements; these auxiliary sensors can be used to ensure the thermal safety of the electronics system by preventing thermal runaway. The analog measurement circuit is factory calibrated.

The heating and cooling power is optimized by proprietary thermal management routines based on power balance models (for Peltier elements and resistive heaters).

Multiple TEC Controller Module Interface Options

This laser diode temperature controller includes PC-Software which allows control, monitoring and live diagnosis of the TEC Controller using USB or RS485 connections from a PC running Windows. This affordable laser diode TEC Controller is perfect for product evaluation, laboratory setups, and product integration.

Software Control and Non-Volatile Memory Operation

Right after power up, the unit will operate according to pre-configured values. The software comes with a user-friendly interface for maintenance, firmware upgrades, basic data logging and device calibration. All of the parameters can be saved a nonvolatile memory. Saving can also be disabled for bus operation.

The DPY-1113 TEC Status Display Kit is available to help speed prototyping efforts. The DPY is configurable via the TEC Service Software, and allows the display fields to be customized.
