Product Overview:

95 Watt Laser Diode Mount & Heat Sink Overview

The LDM-95W high power laser diode heat sink and mounting module is a high-performance mounting solution designed for fiber coupled and free-space laser diodes. It is an "all-air" cooling design which precisely stabilizes the temperature or your laser. The heat from the laser diode is pumped through the TEC to the heatsink at the base of the cooling block. The fan located in the base dissipates the heat from the base of the cooling block.

Peltier and Fan Cooled Heat Sink:

The surface of the mounting plate is machined with micron level surface flatness and finish tolerances. This very flat mounting surface contributes to the very low thermal resistance between the laser and the TEC controlled mounting plate.

The TEC is mounted to a large aluminum cooling block, which is cooled by two fans. The dual fans in the base greatly improve the thermal performance of the heat sink and allow the user to set the laser temperature to a set-point which is equivalent to the lab ambient temperature.

Mount & Heatsink Features

The mount includes two connectors: a 15-pin D-Sub connector, wired for the built-in TEC, temperature sensor, and the dual fans in the base.

The second connector is a high-current two-pin connector, type DSUB-2W2, specifically for connection to the high-power laser diode module.

Mount & Heatsink Thermal Conductivity

The LDM-95W offers a low thermal impedance of < 0.06 K/W. The thermal resistance allows the user to determine the amount of temperature rise that the laser diode will experience for each watt of thermal energy that is emitted from the laser.
