Product Overview:

The LDP-C 50-05 OEM Laser Diode Pulse Driver Module is a very affordable, compact and efficient current supply for high power laser diodes. The current output ranges from 1 Amp to 50 Amps single pulse to over several hundred kilohertz repetition rate up to CW operation. Analog modulation of the output current is also possible. Multiple laser diode protection features include active current regulation to minimize current output overshoot and a soft-start feature and output shorting MOSFETS when the output is disabled. The innovative current regulation design of the LDP-C 50-05 produces considerably less loss compared to the more common linear regulation found in other drivers. Hence only one supply voltage is needed for the control logic and the power stage. The current consumption drawn from the power supply only needs to cover the average laser power and is typically much less than 50 Amps. A TTL trigger input and remote monitoring of the output current and voltage is available through input and output ports on the module. The primary applications for these modules includes laser soldering and welding, other applications include generic surface treatment.
