PULSE GENERATION MECHANISMS ( 3 MODES )

Product Overview:

These high performance RLS / CCS-I series laser diode source and control modules are capable of generating high peak power, narrow pulse width pulses from an internal on-board pulse generator or an external TTL / LVTTL digital signal. They are offered with either DFB or Bragg grating stabilized integrated sources at various wavelengths. These units offer pulses from single-shot to continuous wave (CW) and deliver pulse width lengths from 2 nanoseconds to CW. They offer the best commercially available temporal flexibility.

Pulsed Source and Driver Key Features:
ALPhANOV integrates laser diodes which are sourced from industry leading manufacturers. The sourced lasers offer proven reliability & performance. The current and temperature control circuits and safety limits are all configured and pre-set at the factory and are optimized to ensure the highest level of performance in either pulsed or CW mode. The standard laser bias current range is up to 1.2 Amps in both CW or pulsed mode. The TEC controller provides up to 3.8 Volts and 1.5 Amps to keep the laser thermally stabilized in both pused and CW mode. The minimum pulse duration is a small as 1.5 nanoseconds and these units typically operate with < 1 nanosecond of jitter and up to 4 MHz repetition rate. These modules are also available with HPP technology (High Pulse Performance). HPP technology offers ultra low Jitter, 250 MHz maximum frequency, and up to 3.5 amps of maximum bias current. The HPP technology also offers the user an adjustable CW offset which allows the user to set a CW bias current under the pulse. All models are delivered with an adapted protected fiber that has a high grade optical connector. These units can be controlled either through USB or by utilizing an analog control signal input. They can also be controlled by using the front panel manual knob.
