Product Overview:

These small footprint laser diode driver modules deliver up to 15 Amps at 48 Volts. These laser drivers are current sources which offer high compliance voltage for multi-emitter laser diodes and laser diodes connected in series. They offers researchers and industrial users multiple features such as 4 layers of integrated laser protection. Simple to use LabVIEW drivers are available to make set-up and operation fast and straight forward. These OsTech drivers are powered by an input voltage of 98~230 VAC with power factor correction. The high output power ranges from 300 Watts to 1200 Watts. Like all OsTech precision laser drivers and temperature controllers, an RS232 interface, with an optional USB converter, is available for controlling and monitoring the device under test. CW or QCW modes of operation are standard. A pulse generator is also integrated into the unit for reducing the number of instruments required to perform QCW / pulsed mode. External digital or analog modulation is also supported. The typical rise time of the QCW mode for these drivers is 25 µs. Faster rise times are available on request. Rise times less than 5 µs are achievable if the load and cabling are optimized for fast pulses. Additionally, up to two thermo-electric (TEC) temperature controller circuits can be integrated into the chassis. This device features back facet laser photo-diode power monitoring, pilot laser supply and an adjustable external fan support for controlling the temperature of a remote heat sink
