Product Overview:

The TEC-216W is a high stability laser diode and non-linear crystal TEC controller which delivers up to 216 watts of output power to a Peltier cooler. These modules provide precise temperature control of your laser diode or non-linear crystal based on fast closed-loop feedback from negative thermal coefficient thermistors (ie 10K thermistors) as well as as IC sensors such as PT100 and PT1000 sensors. They are designed to protect your laser diode from over-temperature damage. Their full PID control loop keeps your laser diode at your desired temperature set-point with milli-degree stability. These modules can be controlled from an RS-232 interface (standard) or a USB interface. They are offered LabVIEW drivers as well as a terminal software control suite to make integration into your lab test set-up or product integration simple and fast. The GUI shows all of the control functions, including the current and voltage levels to the TEC controller output and the ability to adjust the PID control loop variables. The user can adjust each of the PID variables to optimize the temperature settling speed or us the default factory settings to get up and running quickly. The bipolar TEC current range is +/- 12 Amps and the voltage range is +/- 18.00 volts. The voltage range allows the user to control multiple Peltier coolers in series. These controllers can be controlled using an RS232 interface or a USB interface. There are LabVIEW drivers with an intuitive graphical user interface. Additionally, the Operating Manual includes a command set for programming the TEC controller.
