Laser Diode Pulse Driver Specifications:
The input power required for these laser diode pulse drivers is a 5 volt DC power supply. The current draw required from the DC power supply is up to 3.5 amps. These drivers offer an output pulsed current up to 2 amperes and source a compliance voltage up to 3 volts. The integrated thermoelectric controller will source up to 3.0 amps to the Peltier element in the laser diode and will provide up to 4.2 volts. These pulsers offer a narrow pulse width range from 20 nanoseconds up to continuous wave (CW). The standard model offers a pulse rep. rate (PRI) from single shot up to 10 MHz. They can be operated withing a duty cycle range from 0 to 100 percent. Both the pulse rise time and the fall time for a 2 amp current bias set-point is 10 nanoseconds. The pulse rise and fall times are specified by using a laser diode for an accurate measurement of performance.

Model 760-57 Overview:
The Model 760-57 is a compact 2.0 amp peak laser diode driver with proportional current control. These drivers are optimized for seed pump applications, LiDAR, pumping fiber lasers and remote sensing applications. The pulse width is variable from 20ns to CW and the output current transitions at a rate of > 1 ampere per 5 nanoseconds. These pulser boards will accept a standard 14 pin butterfly packaged laser diode. They include a TEC controller. The driver will accept a back facet monitor output and provide a digital laser fire indicator pulse. The laser diode load is isolated from the power input terminals, so a non-isolated power supply is acceptable. A potentiometer adjustable trickle current up to 60mA is generated internally to keep the laser pre-biased. The driver is delivered as an OEM PCB assembly attached to a heatsink with all required mating cables.
