Product Overview:

The TEC-1092 is a very small, PCB mountable Peltier controller module that is specially designed to meet the requirements for small thermo-electric laser diode cooling and sensor cooling applications. It features a high current resolution and highly efficient controller (DC output).

These laser diode and sensor TEC controllers can be mounted on the EVL-1093 Evaluation Board to allow the connection to a host by USB, as well as using a DPY-1113 TEC Status Display Kit. It can also operate in a remotely-controlled manner, with the parameters adjusted on the fly.

When configured as a DC power-supply, the TEC-1092 can handle current and voltage settings. In the remote-control case, the temperature data may be passed on to be processed by the host. For direct PCB mounting, the PCB should be mounted at the mounting bore M using an M2 screw.

The TEC-1092 controllers are digitally controllable through software or API and scripting. A LabVIEW VI (PDF) option is also available to operate the TEC controller. Other communications and security features are used to help enhance the product's functional range.

The TEC-1092’s configurable parameters further include sensor linearization (Pt100 / Pt1000), Steinhart-Hart modeling (NTC) and Voltage output temperature sensors, Peltier element modeling, PID controller auto tuning, temperature acquisition hardware calibration, nominal temperature ramping, current, voltage and temperature limits, error thresholds, and many others.
